Websites That Will Make Your Medical Job Search A Breeze
When I was young, I used to think about my future quite often. Me and my friends used to have these intense brainstorming sessions with someone boasting, "I'm going to be an Engineer", and someone else said "I want to be a Doctor". Personally the prospect of being a doctor seemed far more interesting than being a lawyer or an engineer. The prospect of serving the masses seemed to be quite fruitful and patriotic. That was then, prior to considering any medical job search. Now I am an Engineer who has to frequently rush to a doctor just for getting a prescription for fevers and head aches and have to visit dentists quite often. The prospect of being a Doctor still seems promising.
Although the prospect is overpowering, the hardships faced by people working in the field of medicine are very many. I see my doctor friends pass through grinding days on a daily basis. Being a doctor is not so simple. Firstly, one has to cope with the intense knowledge that is to be gained while training to be a doctor. Then there is the internship. A doctor or any other worker in the field of medicine has to undergo severe first hand experience by working in his real work environment. Not one to study so much, the prospect of becoming a doctor now seems an insurmountable barrier to me. A person working in the field of medicine is supposed to be a saviour, a messenger of god on earth. Doctors and trained workers in the field of medicine are required to possess enormous knowledge. Knowledge is power in the field of medicine. The amount of knowledge that doctors possess could be used to fill up many filing cabinets. This is one of the major factors that deter people to join the field of medicine. Only people with the capability of absorbing and then retaining enormous amounts of knowledge can dream of becoming a successful Doctor. Similarly, jobs in the field of medicine require workers to retain knowledge not only in their field of interest but in other important fields too. Moreover, in the field of medicine, where each second a person, across the world, can either save or take a life, experience and knowledge surely play an important part in landing a job. In the field of medicine, there are no dream jobs. Dream jobs are only for fairy tales. One can only hope to serve the community and use his/her knowledge to one's utmost capability. On the other side, with the increase in medical jobs worldwide and the simultaneous decline in people choosing to be a doctors or medicinal workers, one could find a job with a little more ease than one could expect a few decades back. One could just switch on the net and log on to a plethora of websites offering positions in the medical world. Websites like www.medzilla.com, www.medicaljobsearch.net, www.medhunters.com and other recruitment and job placement sites like Yahoo jobs, Aol jobs and www.monster.com offer a multitude of openings in the field of medicine. One could simply apply for a job with his resume and expect an interview call. The only thing that one needs to possess is the drive to work and the passion to serve. If you have it in you, nobody can stop you from landing a medical job of your choice. |
